idk if Newgrounds Storage will be made applicable to retrofit Nintendo's new ToS, let alone future-proofed for any further ToS from any other companies. Because kids might try to vote with their wallets that this is a-ok, I gave this the comment rating of T for Teen, so that those kids' siblings and parents can have them read this concern at their own discretion. I also feel like the entry level for being able to read ToS has been vastly improved, but if I made the content rating of this news too low, Newgrounds and their staff have my unconditional permission to up the content rating of this news. ...I fear that... well... the slogan might be dying little by little. "Everything. By Everyone." might have just taken a hit.
I really hope that isn't the case. I actually like this site. Don't get me wrong, I've misinterpreted ToS before. And fearmongering is not my goal; not by a long shot. But I think some 'inexperienced'? 'unseasoned'? collaborators still use Newgrounds Dump/Storage to aid in their production when folders just aren't enough.
However, Nintendo does seem to be looking for 'unique' content to accompany whatever they allow use of, so maybe they're doing a service. I know LittleBIGPlanet had a lot of 'Train Survival' Levels that all pretty much looked the same, so maybe Nintendo took a page from that and improved something by proxy. People learn the sweetest kindnesses from the darkest of places, so, you never know; the ToS as they stand might be Nintendo's way of being good guys. I think we should wait and see. Thoughts?
